How to ask for a correction, and the dated log of the corrections made.

ConflictStats prints counts that UCDP publishes. A page is wrong when the program mishandles a UCDP file. A figure can also differ from another source because the file, the period or the definition is not the same. The methodology explains each of these.

Send a request

Send a request by post or by telephone to Zippie, the publisher. A request must name the page and the figure.

  1. Name the page by its address.
  2. Name the figure, with its period.
  3. Say what the figure should be. Add a source if you have one.

What happens to a request

  • The target reply time is five working days.
  • The publisher puts the figure on the page next to the figure in the UCDP file.
  • A fault in the program is fixed in the program. The page changes at the next build, and a build runs each day.
  • Each fix is entered in the dated log on this page.

When UCDP changes a figure

UCDP revises its Candidate Events and corrects its records. A new figure in a UCDP file is not an error of this site. The page Changes in the UCDP data logs such a change as a revision.

The publisher cannot change a UCDP record. If you dispute one, write to UCDP, which keeps the data. The UCDP page of Uppsala University has its details. This site shows the new figure when UCDP publishes a new file.

A page about a person

A page about a person breaks the rules of this site. If a page seems to be about one, name it in a request. The publisher removes it at once when the request is correct.
