In April 2025, UCDP recorded 26 organized-violence events in India, with 82 estimated deaths. That is +86% compared with 14 events the month before.
88% of the month's events were state-based armed conflict. Civilian deaths: 30.
Events were concentrated in Jammu and Kashmir state (11), Chhattisgarh state (7), Jharkhand state (4).
The most active pairing was Government of India - CPI-Maoist with 12 events.
