In May 2025, UCDP recorded 86 organized-violence events in Brazil, with 95 estimated deaths. That is +378% compared with 18 events the month before. The death toll range is 82 to 96.
93% of the month's events were non-state conflict. Civilian deaths: 7.
Events were concentrated in Amazonas state (22), Rio Grande do Norte state (22), Piauí state (12).
The most active pairing was Comando Vermelho - PCC with 29 events.
