In August 2024, UCDP recorded 58 organized-violence events in DR Congo, with 191 estimated deaths. That is about the same as the previous month (64). The death toll range is 181 to 269.
55% of the month's events were one-sided violence against civilians. Civilian deaths: 136.
Events were concentrated in Nord Kivu province (34), Ituri province (17), Sud Kivu province (3).
The most active pairing was IS - Civilians with 21 events.
