UCDP recorded 163 events of organized violence in DR Congo in January 2025. The best estimate of deaths in these events is 4,517. The low estimate is 4,381 and the high estimate is 17,712. UCDP counts 1,235 of these deaths as deaths of civilians. The count for December 2024 was 80 events.

Among the 26 months with a report for DR Congo, January 2025 has the highest count of events. DR Congo holds 7 percent of the events that UCDP recorded in all countries with a page in January 2025.
