UCDP recorded 84 events of organized violence in DR Congo in August 2025. The best estimate of deaths in these events is 464. The low estimate is 344 and the high estimate is 965. UCDP counts 385 of these deaths as deaths of civilians. The count for July 2025 was 72 events.

The count for August 2024 was 58 events. The change from August 2024 to August 2025 is up 45 percent. Among the 26 months with a report for DR Congo, August 2025 has the 5th highest count of events. DR Congo holds 4 percent of the events that UCDP recorded in all countries with a page in August 2025. In August 2024, the share was 3 percent.
