Ukraine: conflict events in April 2025

In April 2025, UCDP recorded 621 organized-violence events in Ukraine, with 5,736 estimated deaths. That is about the same as the previous month (615). The death toll range is 4,795 to 6,811.

100% of the month's events were state-based armed conflict. Civilian deaths: 234.

Events were concentrated in Donetsk oblast (312), Kharkiv oblast (70), Zaporizhzhya oblast (67).

The most active pairing was Government of Russia (Soviet Union) - Government of Ukraine with 621 events.
