The parties recorded in the most events over the last 12 months were Government of Israel (1,430 events), Hamas (1,394 events), PIJ (23 events), Palestinian Mujahideen Movement (7 events).

UCDP classes events as state-based armed conflict, non-state conflict, or one-sided violence against civilians. In Gaza Strip, 99% of events over the last 12 months were state-based armed conflict.
