In January 2025, UCDP recorded 81 organized-violence events in Colombia, with 221 estimated deaths. That is +108% compared with 39 events the month before. The death toll range is 184 to 299.
46% of the month's events were one-sided violence against civilians. Civilian deaths: 92.
Events were concentrated in Norte de Santander department (23), Cauca department (13), La Guajira department (9).
The most active pairing was ELN - Civilians with 11 events.
