In May 2026, UCDP recorded 94 organized-violence events in Mali, with 485 estimated deaths. That is +42% compared with 66 events the month before. The death toll range is 461 to 601.
68% of the month's events were state-based armed conflict. Civilian deaths: 101.
Events were concentrated in Mopti region (25), Segou region (23), Tombouctou region (14).
