In April 2025, UCDP recorded 68 organized-violence events in Nigeria, with 401 estimated deaths. That is +15% compared with 59 events the month before. The death toll range is 367 to 432.
47% of the month's events were non-state conflict. Civilian deaths: 170.
Events were concentrated in Borno state (23), Benue state (12), Plateau state (10).
The most active pairing was Government of Nigeria - IS with 19 events.
